With water temperatures reaching 72 degrees, lake managers stopped planting last Friday with a bonus plant of big trout in the 5- to 15-pound class. The fish have moved off the bank, and now trollers do best with a threaded 'crawler or Rapala down 15 feet. Bass fishing was great for a weekend tournament, with fish to 7 pounds weighed and released. Most boats caught at least seven fish. Laurie Lockhart at the store said the best bet was fishing Senkos off the main lake points, outside the debris and algae build ups.
