Look for weekend temperatures in the mid 70’s and 80’s and 50’s in the evenings. Lake level has dropped and is now approximately 15 feet below spill. Water temperatures have increased slightly, 52 degrees at 20 feet and 58 at surface. Water clarity is good to 15 feet with. no debris.
Bank Fishing- The cove behind the Marina, Blue Herron Point, and the parking lot bank behind TomSawyerIsland, the Island itself and the Launch Ramp are the most popular spots again this week. Night crawlers, pink power worms and green power bait are the hot baits, with wooly boogers and Kastmasters good right after the plant.
Trolling----- Depths and baits remain unchanged however continued warm weather may push fish down a bit. Trollers are still flat lining, using 3 to 4 colors of lead core or drift fishing the River starting at the Mouth and going up as far as Indian Rock. Some small Kokanee continue to turn up in the River arm and near DeerIsland. The colder water upriver is keeping them within 20 feet of the surface, so no need to go deep. Small spoon or needlefish type lures in pink or florescent orange/red tipped with a night crawler, grub or power worm behind small flashers, dodgers or sidekicks in silver/green work well. Kokanee still prefer scented white corn.
