Got up early and headed to Long Hollow, got on the water about 7:30am.Caught some good fish early, then I managed to lose my electronics due to battery failure. I run both FFinders off a separate battery and it died. This totally wrecked my plans as I was planning on really mainly fishing spoons on some deeper breaks and points most of the day. We loaded the boat back up at 11am and went to Hammond's to get a replacemnt and made the bad decision to go on back towards home and fish Carter's lake rather than returning to Long Hollow. The trip to Carter's was really bad as I caught zero and Michael caught 1 small striper and 1 small spot, both in about 90ft of water fishing about 20ft deep. Tough lake. It was great to be back on Lanier and I have to admit with all honesty that as much as I love the bronzebacks up here in Tn, they do not pull as hard as a Lanier spot. The first fish I caught I was calling for the net-"Got a big one". Turned out to weigh a little less than 2lbs but pulled like a 4lb smallie, It was great. Hope all you guys have a great Thanksgiving and drop that spoon on 'em. Ron
