Pickwick Lake Fishing Forecast: NovemberWater temp: 62-66Clarity 2-3’ somewhat clearer around grass bedsLake Level: 411Have been fishing just about every day here lately (10/27). The water temps have dropped significantly, TVA is pulling the lake down to winter pool and some of the grass has started to die off. This has slowed the bite somewhat. But, the winter draw down will provide some consistent current for a while, which always helps the situation. We are catching good size fish 2-4lb but the numbers are down a little. We are starting to pick up a Smallmouth or two during the course of the day. Most bites are coming on Strike King’s: 1/2oz Red Eye shad (Black Chrome or Shad pattern), series 3 crankbaits (shad patterns) and ½ and ¾ oz double willow spinnerbaits (white/silver) and white Quad-shad spinnerbaits. There are still some fish up and killing shad especially during the afternoon. Looks like most of the shad are 2-3” long. Seeing quite a few Bald Eagles and the leaves are changing that just makes things all the more better. Good luck and good fishing!Cpt.
