Put in shortly after 10am. Went to some areas that I have had some luck on the past several weeks but the fish either were not there or not in a biting mood. I found a few bass on some steep rock banks that were willing to bite a crankbait. Of the 4 I caught none of them made the slot. Went all the way to the back arm of one of the creeks and caught 2 swimming a curly tail grub. These fish were on the small size as well. All the fish I caught were in about 12ft. of water with very deep water close by. Did not try a c-rig as did Cooper in his post for Sunday. A lot of the fish I saw on the sonar were suspended so I stuck with a crankbait for most of the day. The fish were feeding up for the upcoming winter months as their bellies were fat for the size fish I was catching. Good Luck to all. Cape Fear
