Man!! What a mornin'! Topwater bite was on! Fished from 0700-1130 Caught 9 Three LM and Six Smallies. First place I went caught a 1-lb Smallie, Bout 20 mins. later about a 2-lb LM. The longer I fished the bigger the fish got! The water temps started out at 79* by the time 10 o' clock rolled around the temps were hitting 81* and it's like you'd turned the bite switch off. They quit! Ran up to the Linville end and threw a shakey head just because, and was putting the boat on the trailer at 1200. Best day I had on the lake in a couple of years. Best five fish were prolly 16-17lbs. Here is two of the smallies, no 5lbers but all were good fish.

Ain't daid yet John, but almost,,,LOL Fell off the truck after I loaded my boat. Stepped out on the trailer tongue after pullin' it up on the trailer. Musta got my tennis shoes bottoms wet and stepped up in the truck bed to avoid stepping in the lake. When I went to jump off the side of the truck my foot slipped and I went down hard. Hit my head on that 8" curb. I'm still attled a day later. Scuffed myself up purty good. Got a knot on my head Billy Graham'd have a hard time praying off....
