Had some good fish today with a client on Cherokee. The bite was slow at times, but we managed to stick a few. 3 Keeper Smallies and 4 Largemouth with a few non-keepers in the mix. Best 5 about 16 lbs. Caught on topwaters, cranks, & jigs. Looks like it will be another week or 2 before the fall bite really starts to crank up. A cold front or 2 to cool things down and the bite should be on.
