Tennessee River, Tennessee

Been fishing the river below Ft Loudon several times in the past couple weeks and fishing has been pretty good. Last Thursday was the best day.The smallmouth bite has been pretty fair with quite a few in the 2-3lb range. Partner missed a big one that broke him off last trip even though the drag was fairly loose. He still peeled it off too fast. The last trip out Nitro Phil from down Lanier way in Ga. was up visiting and we also got some nice largemouth and big white bass on a spoon. It was really great to fish with Phil again. I'm gonna'have to get back down and fish Lanier this winter again. I still miss those big spots. The white bass should really begin to school in large numbers now that the temp has come down and they finally have begun to discharge a fair amount of water from Loudon. If you got kids that like to fish the white bass this time of year are the perfect target for lots of action. It's also really great to finally have all the landscaping done in the new yard so I will be getting back to some serious fishing now and am really looking forward to the trip to Wheeler down in Alabama the end of Oct. Tight lines, Ron
